Flamenco

The Flamenco is a song, music and dance style which is rooted in Andalusian tradition and culture. Although its culture originated in this region, it has since become one of the icons of Spanish music and even Spanish culture in general.

Initially unaccompanied singing, Flamenco now includes guitar playing, rhythmic hand clapping, feet stomping, castanets, and of course dance. Today, there are over 50 different styles of Flamenco. For example, New Flamenco is one of its recent variant which has been influenced by modern musical genres, like rumba, salsa, pop, rock and jazz.
